The artist demonstrated watercolor painting at
University Art on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at both Sacramento locations. Below are the paintings:

Watercolor Number 1172, "Bodacious Bodega ll", I started off the day with this one, I did not finish, I got in a hole and put it aside. later I worked on values and shapes and toned down the Cheap Joe turquoise!

The second demo, numbered 1170, was an interpretation of a familiar subject, "Fulton Avenue Car Lot". I could still work on this, but I signed it on the spot. All the works are 22"x15".

I could not resist painting this Sacramento landmark, "Country Club Lanes". I hung out here in the early 60s. No, that is not me! I had an Olds. This Winsor Yellow sky work is numbered 1167. Thank you Bob and crew at the Marconi Avenue Store for your invite. I think it was a hit. A crowd of interested artists seemed to enjoy seeing my direct painting methods and the work didn't come out to bad. Thanks everyone for coming, I was honored by your presence!

Watercolor Number 1169 is the first work at the J Street store. One watcher this afternoon really wanted me to show her a landscape. I didn't have a landscape in me. Out instead came this rendition of a "Suburban Jack in the Box". Thank you to the staff at Sacramento 1 for your kindness on Saturday. By the time I set up I was exhausted and in deep pain and your helped me feel welcome at ease.

She wanted a landescape, "I'll come back", so I made a little value plan from my head and painted this, the 5th and final demo painting, Number 1171, of the day. She never came back. Thank you again, UArt for the opportunity!
